Boxes of Hope is a our school feeding program that is designed to help students of any age in need. We discovered that many of the students in our area were going home Friday afternoon and would not receive another meal until Monday morning at school for breakfast. This was something we could not just sit by and not act upon. Therefore 5 years ago God gave us the vision to start Boxes of Hope. In the last 5 years we have helped feed almost 5,000 students in the surrounding area!
Not only have we been able to feed students over the past 5 years but our program has grown into helping individual student needs as well. We have been able to purchase gas cards, hygiene products and Christmas gift cards for each of our families.
So how does it work?
We fill boxes filled with food to cover families for a weekend meal. The food boxes include breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks options for ALL children in the family. Our family count ranges anywhere from 1 to 8 children per family. We deliver two times a month to the local schools in our area and, on growing occasions, weekly to certain families depending on the need.
All of our boxes are non-descriptive and delivered only to the schools directly. Our prayer is that these families know that through these boxes that they are loved and prayed for.
Just a few testimonies from some social workers/teachers this school year….
How do I get involved? What do I do now?….Glad you asked!
Please PRAYERFULLY consider ways for YOU to be involved:
